Our Laguna SmartShop II SUV is a 4ft x 8ft industrial CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) Router capable of milling materials such as Plywood, Plastics, Styrofoam, Aluminum, and more. It has an 8-station automatic tool changer and a vacuum hold-down bed.

Max cutting size: 48in x 96in.

Max stock thickness: dependent on material and desired form, but could be as thick as 4in

Cost: Free to use, must supply your own material

<aside> 💡 To use this machine you must set up an appointment with AACE Lab staff.

Use: The CNC is one of the more advanced machines in the AACE Lab and requires more training and guidance than other tools. If this is your first time using this machine, you will need to schedule an appointment with AACE Lab staff to discuss your project and plan a schedule for training. Expect to spend about 1hr learning software plus additional time to practice and work on your file.

<aside> 💡 Even if you have used this machine before, you still need to have your files reviewed and approved by AACE Lab staff prior to operating the machine.
