The mirror command is used to reflect any object, be it a curve, surface, polysurface, or mesh along a mirror plane. This plane can be two dimensional - along the x/y-axis or along a constructed line. In the case of 3-point mirror, an object can be reflected through a three-dimensional plane.

points - the first being the start of a mirror plane and the second being the end of the axis of reflection. If copy is selected while entering the command, the object will be copied and reflected along the axis chosen through the two selected points.copy is not selected, the original object will disappear and only it's mirrored version will remain in the model space.
