Many commands in Rhino require the user to input dimensional information in the command line.

We will review common cases where this occurs and how to do it, allowing you to create forms which are of precise sizes.

Rectangle

• A simple example is Rectangle.
• In order to make a rectangle with a width of 3' and a height of 2' we will need to put this information into the command line explicitly.
• Type rectangle

• You are fist prompted to provide a location for the first point. Type 0

<aside> 💡 Typing 0 anytime a location is requested is a short hand for the Origin or 0,0,0.

• Typing 36" specifies the first dimension to be 36".
