Extrusions generate solids and polysurfaces from curves and surfaces.

Introduction to Extrusions

• Extrusions work on both curves and surfaces. ExtrudeCrv and ExtrudeSrf are two examples.
• Extrusions generate 3-Dimensional solids.

• Extruded objects can be both open or closed using the subcommand solid = yes / no
• The subcommand bothsides will extrude either a curve or surface on bothsides.

Extrusions from Curves

Extrude Curve (Parallel)

• ExtrudeCrv creates solids from closed planar curves "driven" along a straight line.

Planar Curves

• Type ExtrudeCrv and select the curve for extrusion.

• The second prompt requests a height for extrusiona

• Specify if the extrusion is solid or not will cap or not the extrusion respectively.

• Using the subcommand Direction you can specify an alternate vector to extrude your curve along.
